Louise Hart

Louise Hart

Louise graduated from the University of Derby with a Diploma in
Business Studies in 1977 and then went on to work as an IT Trainer at
the University. In October 2023, she ‘retired’ from her training role after
26 years.

Since November 2021, Louise has been volunteering weekly at the
Ashbourne Animal Welfare (ARK) rescue shelter. This involves working
with a regular team of walkers to ensure all the dogs in the kennels
receive a walk and enrichment activities in the Ark’s enclosed
compounds. This activity has heightened her passion for animal welfare
and care.

She and her husband adopted Luca, a Husky/Alsatian rescue dog, in
April 2022. Whilst his original background as a Bosnian street dog
makes him nervous of other large dogs, Luca loves interacting with
people in a gentle and sensitive manner. So, in the summer of 2023,
Louise applied to work with him as a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs
Nationwide (TDN). Each month, they now visit a local mental health
hospital and a care home, bringing comfort, distraction and smiles!

In July 2024, after attending a Dog First Aid course, Louise realised she
wanted to build on her training experience and dedication to all things
‘dog’, and join the Dog First Aid Training team.

Louise looks forward to welcoming you on her courses in Derbyshire,
where she will share all the skills needed for you to confidently help any
dog in an emergency situation.

Annabel Love

Yesterday I took part in Dani's online canine first aid course which I thoroughly enjoyed. I found the course so incredibly informative and really loved how engaging and interesting she was as a presenter. As someone who works with dogs (as a trainer and petsitter) and wants to do so full-time, I highly, highly recommend Dani to anyone - dog owner or dog career based alike.

Nikki Brown

A really good training session, I’m surprised how much I’ve learned today! Would highly recommend Dani to anyone who owns, works or volunteers with dogs. Relaxed, fun but packed full of info

Pip's Pet Care

We booked Dani to provide the first aid training at a course that we hosted for our customers. The communication and support on the build up to the course was fantastic. On the day Dani proved to be a knowledgeable trainer answering one off questions and delivering the course with a hint of humour but driving home the important points. Having already been trained in dog first aid previously I thought I knew what to expect, but the course delivered by Dani was much more comprehensive and I was able to refresh my current knowledge and add to it as well.
